The company 
in Basel was founded in 1962 by Max Dürr. He developed the PVC skirting board with hard foam backing. Innovation and a wealth of ideas resulted in a product that is still modern and easy to clean today.
In 1972, the production halls and the office wing at the new site in Wahlen near Laufen, BL were put into operation. In order to meet the growing demand, the colour range is expanded and production is rationalized.

In 2001, Erich Dürr takes over the management of the company in the second generation. He leads the up-and-coming company into the future with new impetus and modern technology. After a long illness, Erich Dürr passes away in April 2016 and the community of heirs hands over the business to Stephan Lehni on June 1, 2017. The company is now called Düco Wahlen AG.
